Because I have over 25 years of real world, hands-on experience working in IT.


In that time, I gained the following industry certifications:


  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in 2001
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP-S) in 2001
  • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) in 2002


During my IT career, I worked as:


  • A network support engineer for a global construction company
  • A senior IT Communications Consultant in the oil & gas sector
  • A global Team Leader for the Unified Communications group of an engineering multinational corporation


I designed, installed, configured, and supported LAN & WAN infrastructure all over the world, including offices and sites in the UK, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia.
